review 1: This was a disappointing set for several reasons. In the first book, when Leo is introduced, I kind of didn't like her because she was pretty cruel to her fiance. She actually hits him at one point, and there was really no need for that. It was an instant turnoff and made her seem incredibly childish. Later on, when the author magically changed Leo's character, I was able to like her a little more and push on.The other big problem is that I found myself skimming love scenes in the majority of the book. Usually that's not a problem for me. In an erotic romance, I like lots of explicit love scenes, provided they add to the story. In this set, the love scenes had almost no connection to the story and definitely didn't add anything to our understanding of the characters... more. It was like the author wrote a books with 2/3 sex, and each love scene is punctuated with about 1-2 pages of dialogue where we actually learn something about the characters or story. I was either skimming or forcing myself to get through the love scenes in order to get to the few tidbits of interesting dialogue.
review 2: I managed to devour the whole series in a day. It was that good! I was searching up for more yummy biker/m.c romance after gobbling up Reaper's Property and Reaper's Legacy which were so darn awesome that I'm sure no other books would be able to top that series and I came across Biker Billionaire. One downside was the amount of errors and inconsistencies, but one upside was that I found the Big Girl series! :D Right, on to the series. I enjoyed reading this series quite a bit. I really enjoyed Shane and Leo's story and I am very glad Leo dumped John's sorry ass! It's nice to see Leo letting go and take risks in life, but to do so after you've known Shane for only a day or two? Stranger danger honey. A small tidbit about Shane, he is an alpha male, a Marine veteran as well as a (war/field?) doctor. I loved how Leo was badass and courageous enough to go along with him. The sex was yummy as well ;) less
