review 1: I liked it in that I learned a lot about Brazil and Portugal at the time of separation and also it was easy to absorb / digest and the Spanish is not difficult (not available in English yet). I would have liked a little more concrete information about what was imagined and what really happened. Also, in parts it was a bit slow and the drawn out descriptions of every thought in the emperor's mind were sometimes repetitive. I'm sort of between a 3 and 4 on this one.
