review 1: The Edumacation of Jay Baker is a young adult, realistic fiction teen comedy written by Jay Clark. This book is about freshman Jay Baker who is going through troubles with school, relationships, and family. In this book the main character Jay encounters many problems such as dealing with secrets from some of his closest friends, family, and bullies. My favorite character had to be Jay because of his funny remarks and quotes and his relatable feelings as a teenager. I can relate to many of the characters in the book like how they have embarrassing feelings and feelings that I would have in their situation. My favorite part of the story was when he stood up to his arch enemy Mike Hibbard and started fighting him and making him fart because when I first read it, it made me la... moreugh. I really didn't have a least favorite part because the whole story kept me entertained and laughing. The part I would change would be when Cameo(Jay's best friend) falls on top of Jay right when Caroline(his girlfriend)walks in. I think this because I would have liked that part of the book to be a little bit more descriptive and dramatic. I would recommend this book to people because I really liked it and would want other people to enjoy it too. I would recommend this book to people who like young adult, coming of age, and teen comedy genres. I gave this book 4 stars because I really enjoyed this book because of its reality, comedy, and personal relationships.
review 2: Loved this book. First I'd ever read by this author. Jay Clark is an excellent writer and extremely funny. This is the story of Jay Baker, a high school student who just found out his parents are divorcing. He not only has to deal with that but with choosing between two girls, and an annoying school bully. Jay Baker is highly intelligent and has an amazing way with words. Loved his character. I recommend this book if you like sarcastic and dry humor. less

I could not finish this book. The pop culture references on every page began to get very annoying.

I'm still laughing at the author's jokes. I felt like I was back in high school. Great Job!
