review 1: While I liked the first two books in the 'Night Calls' series I did not like 'Surrender To Love', mainly because I found Patti and Jon totally unbelievable characters that I didn't relate to on any level. We're told Patti is sweet and feisty yet she just comes across as harsh and hardheaded and then there's Jon who is a self-centred ass, while I love alphas I hate jerks and in any other story Jon would be clearly labeled as the douche he is, just because we're told he has been redeemed doesn't mean we find him redeemable ...."With her, he was a virgin all over again".....seriously?But at least he was well matched with Patti who sounds like a total dope/dupe....."Not many men she'd dated bothered to learn about who she was, and what she was about".....well clap-clap for the... more man-whore having two ears and for Patti's high expectations!!And on it went in a similar vein till I got fed up and abandoned ship, the usual reason, too many books and not enough time for one I clearly wasn't enjoying.**I eventually did finish this hence the 2 stars**
review 2: I was given this book as a Goodreads giveaway. Surrender to Love was easy to read without too many characters. The main character, Patti catches her boyfriend cheating and loses her job all in one week. She then meets a man, Jon and the relationship takes off too fast. I found the dating between Patti and John was rushed. The last part of the book finally slows down. It also seemed like the author wrote for a male audience with the language that was used. less
