review 1: Wow.In a bad way.Pissed off that this book was a complete let down.This book was right up my alley. I usually like books where the heroine experiences heartbreaks and secretly loves or lusts after the hero, but thus was complete BULLSHIT. I had really high expectations for this book, swayed by some really compelling review, but it's all LIES.Piper is an annoying little shit. She's constantly assuming and getting hurt by the stupidest things. Concocting plans to make him jealous and going on dates and for some reason that's fine, but when he does it, it hurts and she and she sulks or gets pissed off.And the fight scene with Tom, she gets mad at Tate for some reason when he just put up with her causing a freaking scene for being on a date when she's there with Tom. He fights... more tom for pulling her which I think is pretty noble. She didn't want to leave and he kept pulling her, not threateningly but Tate saw it that way. They fight. Piper is mad at Tate, leaves Vegas and resigns. Like WTF?Tate had his faults too like that time he called her a bitch, but that was okay because in my head I was thinking it too. She leads him on, waits until he's hard and she's already orgasmed to kick him out. Don't be a tease it u didn't want to have sex with him don't but don't act like it's okay and then be pissed. But even mad he shouldn't have said it. And once after they had sex he snuck out, and he was a demanding boss, but what do you expect ur his assistant. You assist. That's basically all he did wrong and she just completely overreacted the entire book.DISAPPOINTED!
review 2: I guess I'm a minority here cause I didn't like this book. At first it had promise about 40% through I wanted to pull my hair out from all the back and forth between the two. Especially Piper, if I could reach into a book and slap someone it would be here. She didn't have depth to me, she fell flat.I couldn't relate to her. Tate was better and I liked him a little but his antics bothered me also.This book didn't do it for me less
