review 1: OMG this was so sad for me, I will never understand how people will let others abuse them, or how people can abuse others, so sad. I didn't like how the author did this story, were the abusers didn't pay for all the pain they caused.I imagine if I was abuse in real life and I read this story, it wouldn't give me any hope about justice, and the main character was still portrait as weak and didn't want to press charges...no good, no good at all.
review 2: Although Christmas is over..thank god...I wanted to read something a little sweet and sexy and this book is it. I loved the two main characters, Jake is a sexy as hell sheriff whose got a heart of gold and Dain has had so much pain and loss in his life, I wanted to hug him and make it all better. When Dain an... mored Jake first meet Dain feels a sense of security but with his past he can't believe in happily ever afters, he won't allow himself to. As the story progresses Jake learns the whole ugly truth about Dain's past and Dain just wants to forget. I loved these two together they are a miracle in both their lives. I loved Jake's family too, such a warm family. I want to share more but don't want to ruin anything. Very sweet and sexy, a lot sad and emotional but so worth it. 4 stars.
