review 1: How could I resist the cover!? Sooo cute! The illustrations in the story are also adorable. I was, at first, rather confused about the direction of the story since the polar bear starts off in his Arctic home, but then somehow begins to explore beaches and other places a little polar bear wouldn't normally be found. Also, there's a little girl who suddenly appears and accompanies him on the adventure. The end clears things up in a cute way and I think this is meant to be a story about imagination, and it is certainly cute, but overall it was not quite as strong as it could have been.

... morerse.Pictures are attractive, but is this supposed to be a stuffed bear all along, or does it go back and forth from real to stuffed a la "Calvin and Hobbes". And showing the girl with this book on her bed on one of the last pages only adds to the confusion.People will take this for its attractive cover. Too bad there isn't more to what's inside. less
