review 1: I loved the romance, but the plot just didn't do it for me at times. The fact that the motivation of the majority of the plot was based around Alexis wanting Bo to do her tattoo wasn't enough for me. The romance and sexual tension between Alexis and Bo is pretty hot. There was also some really random details that were never fully explained. Like Alexis dances at powwows and it is brought up several times, but nothing actually comes of it. I also had some issues with pacing. Some things seemed to happen much to fast, while others dragged a bit. Alexis kind of annoyed me. She overreacted to everything - and I understand she was hurt, but sometimes there was a bit too much of the fight and make up. I also was not a fan of the friendship between Sarah and Alexis. While Sarah s... moreeemed like a great person, I felt like Alexis used her a bit. Making His Mark was a book that kept my attention the whole time - I constantly wanted to know what would happen next and how things would turn out. One of my favorite things about the book were the secondary characters - they were all great. So all in all, Making His Mark was a mix for me. While I enjoyed reading it, there were some issues I had with the plot and pacing throughout. Yet, the romance was good and I quite enjoyed the secondary characters.
review 2: This was just ok for me. It started out good and interesting but fizzled. There was definite sexual tension between Bo and Alexis that they tried to fight, and fight they did. When they finally hooked up, it was over too quickly for me. Alexis was kind of a nut job, dramatic, and some of it was annoying. She would overreact. She had a conversation with Sarah that made no sense to me. Wound up reading it over and i still was off. Overall I felt like she was a drama queen who needed a IV drip of midol to calm the fuck down. Little things bothered me, like the mystery guy in the bar all of a sudden was named Stan. Travis turned into Trevor later on in the book. Sometimes I felt bounced around, Bo sometimes sounded like a puss, when he supposed to be solid hot and a tattoo artist. He didn't scream out alpha. I'm sorry, for me I wasn't feeling it. less

3.5 starsSo I'm mixed on this one. Good storyline a little flat in the middle, but enjoyed.
