review 1: My research about capsule wardrobes led me to this book, written by a psychologist who helps people makeover their wardrobes. Practical, helpful, looking at the whole person rather than just their clothes. This is not Trinny and Susannah telling you to ditch your skinny jeans and buy some boots - it's more like Dr Phil asking why you chose too-tight jeans in the first place. Practical tips, and a non-irritating writing style, which is a bit unusual for this genre. If your wardrobe needs a clean out, this is a good place to start. Just don't expect to read about assessing your bodyshape or choosing flattering colours. You'll need to read this book alongside the many, many web sites that address those aspects of wardrobe redesign.

... mored by the instructor of a feng shui class I'm taking so I thought I'd see what the author, who's a clinical psychologist, had to say. In each chapter I found something I could apply to myself. Saving certain clothing "just for best" when you could be enjoying them often. Only buying clothes on sale when they might not be the ones you'd choose if you allowed yourself to shop otherwise. Dressing as if you care and deserve to look your best. I'm not saying I'll be able to choose the right look but I'm motivated to try. I might see my long winter coat hanging on the rack at Goodwill. less
