review 1: Mia has an addiction, one she's trying hard to quit. What is she addicted to, why lightning of course, and no that is not some new drug. That addiction leaves her with abilities. This alone could have made and excellent novel, had it been explored more in depth. Unfortunately it wasn't.Enter some extremely religious zealots, Insta-love, and insta-forgiveness(even for someone with murderous intentions)and my interest in the book plummeted dramatically.I really wanted to enjoy this book, there was potential in the underlying story, but I just couldn't get into it. For most of the book I couldn't even figure out who was good and who was bad.All in all it was an interesting premise that just fell flat.

Profecías apocalípticas, romances instantáneos, tormentas eléctricas que otorgan superpoderes al estilo Misfits, un insulso elenco de personajes y una penosa labor de worldbuilding se dan cita en una historia que desprende un infumable tufillo religioso imposible de procesar. Aun así, 'Fulminada' no ha sido una lectura del todo catastrófica; cuenta a su favor con un ritmo vertiginoso y una prosa resultona. Poco más tiene que ofrecer Jennifer Bosworth en esta obra que carece de aliciente alguno para ser convertida en trilogía. Aun así, si sientes una irremediable tentación de leer 'Fulminada', no vendría mal que le dieses una oportunidad; entretiene lo justo como para no acabar saliendo por la ventana. less
