review 1: #51: Torn Away, by Jennifer Brown - This is one of my favorite YA authors and her newest book that I splurged on and bought the hardcover edition. I read it today, in a few short hours, on my way home from a family vacation. She tells the poignant story of Jersey, a teenager, who has to learn the meaning of "everything" in the most devastating way imaginable. As is the case when I read one of Brown's books, I cried when I read this. Great book for a middle school or high school classroom library!
