review 1: A classic running away from home story. A young boy, fed up with his little sister and older brother, decides that he is tired of being treated unfairly and runs away. After he leaves, he tries to decide where to go and ends up realizing that home is the only place he wants to be. His mother greets him with open arms and he returns to the dinner table. I enjoyed the boy's narrative. While I don't care for the art work (small sculptures that are photographed), I expect that some kids will be enchanted with this somewhat unusual style. Recommended for students in grades 2 and 3.
review 2: In order to run away, you have to 1) have a good reason 2) have something bigger than a bandanna to carry your stuff 3)say good-bye to the pets 4) write a note and leave it
... more in an obvious place and 5) Leave and decide where you're going to go. But whatever you do, don't think about all the good things your parents have done for you. Don't think about how warm and cozy your bed is. But if you do, don't forget that maybe you could give your parents a second chance. The illustrations, which are hand-built three-dimensional sets shot with a camera, are very unusual and eye-catching. Should make a fun read aloud and could even do a compare/contrast with Huget's other book "How to Clean Your Room in 10 Easy Steps." less

Not a bad story, but I intensely dislike the images. Creepy.
