review 1: Its a lovely easy read, well written and the characters are just loveable, they are written well in tot he story line. typical over protective father, hot bodyguard and the daughter falls for him, he would give is life to protect her! but its just so sweet you can not dislike this book!! I couldnt put it down. Only downfall was it would have been nice to have a epilogue for further down the line or a book #2 because it seems some what unfinished. Either way i enjoyed it.
review 2: Daddy. Mother. Princess. Yes, sir. Daddy. Mother. Princess. Yes,sir. Ugh. Thats the entire book summed Up in 5 words. I was going to give this book 1 star but I really liked Colin...actually he was the only character I did like. No secondary characters are developed, I understand how ... moreclosed off she was but still Felicity, her best friend, had a couple appearances and none showed her as a developed or "good" character. I feel we barely got to know her. How she was able to live for so long inside a padded eggshell wrapped around by a chain in her father's hand perplexes me. I also don't feel Colin and Ashlyn's relationship had enough moments that would lead it to their unexpected profession of love. Usually these are the parts I swoon at but I felt nothing at all, it was bland and not very heartfelt. Her mother's cougar ways, her dad's obsession, and her lack of everything led me to force myself to continue reading (never a good thing). I did like that she finally grew some towards the end of book and although I was upset that it wasn't a total break from her dad's scrutinizing ways I've now realized that would have been unrealistic and a partial breakthrough was better than none. It was a hopeful step forward. less
