review 1: A charming story set in the 1930's when things were tough, especially for farmers and ranchers. A young family deserted by their parents, finds themselves on the doorstep of a compassionate rancher who takes them in and they eventually, with lots of ups and downs, become a family of love and respect.A little too much "God" reference for my liking,but quite enjoyed the story and the characters were all very likeable.
review 2: I don't usually read historical fiction but this story was very entertaining. I found myself laughing and smiling several times throughout the book. I loved the kids in this story. I purchased this book on my kindle and became lost within the pages in no time. I would recommend this book to anybody looking for a great story to enjoy.
