review 1: This is the second book in The Searching For series by the wonderful Jennifer Probst. This is the story of Kennedy, the social director for Kinnections(a matchmaking agency). Kennedy felt like a very true to life woman to me...she has struggled with her weight since childhood and still feels very insecure about it even now. I loved her strength and determination to help her clients find their soul mates. She is so warm hearted and caring. Nate Dunkle is a rocket scientist who has decided he wants to find a woman to come home to. Nate is the definition of nerd which makes his transformation so enjoyable. Kennedy vows to help Nate find the perfect woman for him but she has a lot of obstacles to work through. Nate maybe smart put he does not know how to talk to women,... more at all. I loved how the author built the relationship between Kennedy and Nate....seemingly opposites yet deep down similar. This book is beautifully written and has a wonderful mix of romance, humor and drama. I highly recommend this fantastic book and it can be read as a standalone. I do think readers will love the first book, Searching For Someday, as it is the story of a character that does appear in this book.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. I found that I could relate to both Kennedy and Nate.Kennedy owns a matchmaking agency with her two best friends. To the outside world she's well put together and has it all figured out. On the inside she's fighting her demons every single day and trying to put the past behind her.Nate is a rocket scientist, he's more adept when it comes to numbers and formulas than when it comes to people. But he realizes that he's lonely and he wants to find a person to spend the rest of his life with, so he ends up at the matchmaking agency under the very skillful guidance of Kennedy. This is a sweet love story and I love that we get to experience the changes in Nate, not easy at times for him but he goes with the flow and lets Kennedy continue his transformation. What she doesn't realize is that he's helping her and changing her as well in the process.Bullying is one of the themes that this story touches and it's heartbreaking, but Jennifer does a beautiful job in redeeming the characters. She has an incredible ability to bring the reader into the story and make him/her a part of it.I'm looking forward to the next installment of this series. less
