review 1: I just love Jenny Colgan books, I know they are all vey similar and the Little Beach Street Bakery is no different. Polly and Chris' business has failed and they are bankrupt. The only place she can afford to live is in a remote village in Cornwall, where she ends up baking bread, which is a hobby of her's, until the villages get wind of how good the bread is and she starts selling it. There's also new love around the corner in the shape of a blond American, Huckle who has also has a failed relationship and has come to Cornwall to recover and look after bees and sell honey. Just a funny and delightful read and of course it's set in my favourite corner of the world, Cornwall.
review 2: As promised, the story was warm indeed. What I liked the most was how Je
... morenny Colgan knew that life nearby the sea is simple, I mean, the way she described the bakery and the fishermen and the lighthouse, all of that is true and I know because I, myself, grew up nearby the sea, so yes, I could really relate to many things in the book. Little Beach Street Bakery is something you'd really like to read just for fun during summer. less

Light romance with baking theme. Love the idea of starting a bakery in a remote fishing village.
