review 1: When I first read this book I found Belly (main character) to be a bit annoying, and the writing a bit immature. Now having that said... I continued to read this book and purchased the complete series because a dear friend of mine happened to love the series and praised it to the moon and back. He is pretty good at recommending books for me to read so I figured he had to have a reason for liking this one so much. Therefore I read with a little more annoyance until I finished. My overall thought is the story in itself is cutesy and you find yourself invested in Belly's future rooting for her and the boy she sets her eyes on. And you see how the author placed room for character development along the series as Belly become a woman and the path to find her true love. It a good... more read, I didn't love it, nor regret reading this book. It is recommend if you want to read something not challenging but quick, cute and fun with a little character build up. MY RATING IS A 3.50!
review 2: Not going to go into too much detail but overall I really enjoyed this trilogy, it was exactly what I wanted for reading on the beach: not too taxing on the brain and set in summer with romance and friendship. I enjoyed book 1 the most of all I think, and the start of book 2 as well, but ever since i saw how much Belly wanted to be with Conrad in the first book, i knew i could only ship them, (even though there were a few cute moments when she was with Jeremiah) which is why i especially didn't really love the majority of book 3 when they were engaged. However the very ending of that last book did make up for it,(CONRAD + BELLY 4 LIFE) it was just so cute and perfect that i wish Susannah had been there to see it :)4 out of 5 stars - great for summer but didn't quite get my heart fluttering like Anna and the French Kiss did, and at some point the plot went in a direction that i didn't quite enjoy as much as others less
