review 1: I definitely enjoyed this book. Although I found it to ramble slightly in the middle, the majority of information presented was very good. No matter what party you align yourself with, you should be able to realize that our current system is nothing more than the rich helping the rich. Over and over and over again we allow officials with clear conflict of interests to pass bills and laws for us. One thing this book does well is show that our government is a total racket, no matter how you look at it.
review 2: A very sobering look at the current disturbing political climate in the United States. I think this paints a pretty good portrait of the disgust the average American has for the job the government is doing. The only problem I have with this book is it's v... moreery lean on solutions. We need solutions, not more "misery loves company" screeds. The last chapter does hint at some salvation, perhaps in a run from Ventura and Ron Paul in 2016 and the hope of enacting real change, not what was promised in 2008. Recommended reading for those who enjoy political non-fiction. less
