review 1: Tear jerker for sure. I always have to wonder about the history of the author after reading a book like this. What makes their characters so real? What makes them know exactly what to say (and what not to say?). Perhaps it's just the forethought and time to edit instead of instantly having to know what to say. Regardless, tough book, but very sweet, and it really hits a lot of what I think is the truth of this situation.
review 2: 3.5 stars. This book was horribly sad. Yes, I enjoy a good tragic read...but this was pretty sad. It made me think that if I was terminal and knew that treatments would only prolong my life by a little bit but wouldn't change the outcome, I'm not sure that it's worth it. To love someone and watch them die just a bit slower seems
... morealmost torturous. It seems greedy on the survivors part. Anyway...it was a good book, I liked it, but didn't love it. less

Definitely a weepy book - if you feel the need to have a good cry this is the book to read.

It was a pretty alright book, the ending was predictable and not very heart-stirring.
