review 1: This was just so sweet. It's hard to point to why I enjoyed it so much. It had some definite weaknesses--mainly the fact that the author chose to gloss over the heroine's moment of change and skip the hero's entirely. (She needs to stop being afraid of leaving her comfort zone, he needs to stop seeking endless thrills.) It was frustrating not being able to see those changes happen. And yet I really liked it. I think it was the first person voice that made the heroine so engaging. The hero feels kind of vague to me now, a few days after I finished it--but the heroine was very clearly drawn and a fun person to spend a couple of hours with.
review 2: This is a connected book published before JUGGLING BRIEFCASE AND BABY which I read first. Since these characters tur
... morened up in the later book, I thought the book might exist--and so it does. This is a cute story, told in first person, so you don't get the hero's POV at all. The heroine is a super-organized secretary who's been shifted to work for the boss's adventurous brother. The brother has been wandering the world for years, the last several as a reality TV show star/host. Now he's home to work for the family firm since Dad's sick, and not at all the corporate type the heroine's used to. Oh, and she's just been dumped by her boyfriend. I miss having the hero's POV, but Hart does a great job of showing it through the heroine's eyes, at least somewhat. This was a fun little read. Very entertaining. less
