From the moment I read Dark Promises and Dragomir’s character was introduced, I totally fell for him. I wanted his story. I didn’t know that I would get his so soon and I can say he was far better than I’d imagined him to be.

Dragomir was strong and protective and so very cool. He was a total badass. His interactions with Emmeline had a measure of fun that I wouldn’t have expected from such a strong warrior. He was one of the best Carpathians in the series. His sense of honor and his dealing with the children just added to his already admirable character.

I hadn’t liked Emmeline much from the previous book but she turned out to be a better match for Dragomir than I’d expected. And powerful to boot with her level of psychic ability. The way she tried to protect Dragomir endeared her to me.

I loved the plot, the kickass fighting scenes, the romance, the new surprises concerning Tariq and Gary and all these new Carpathian warriors whose stories I can’t wait to read. Kudos!
