review 1: While it was a different experience, reading a 'romance' from the perspective of the man, this book fell short for me. I didn't see a man discovering true feelings, or love blossoming - what I saw was a fickle man-whore. Nothing he said or any of his actions gave me that happy feeling that you get from a good romance. If it wasn't free at the time, I would not have read it, and I won't be reading it again.
review 2: This book was yet another amazing addition to the wonderful works of Jessica Miles. It is the sixth or seventh book I have read by her. There are so many great ones, I have lost proper count. And, once again, I loved it!This one is a bit different than the others in that it is completely from the man's perspective. Most of her books are two sided
... more or mostly from the female's view. This gave us a look into the sex-crazed male psyche. At first Josh is a total horn-dog. He is 100% about his next “fishing trip”. The fish of course being women. He and his two guy pals are constantly on the prowl for their next lay. But all of a sudden, that changes in a way he never sees coming. Who he ends up with is anyone's guess throughout the first half of the book as he interacts with so many different females and one of them will completely throw you off. She is so much like the characters in some of Jessica's other books that you will feel for sure that she will be the one. But I was pleasantly surprised in the end. When all was said and done, I actually found myself liking Josh. He turned out to be quite a good guy after all.I had a huge smile on my face when I read “The End”. It was a very satisfying ending which is hard to come by. A lot of the time I feel like I need more, but I didn't with this book. I was very pleased.I look forward to Jessica's next piece of art. I am constantly checking to see if she has put anything new out. It has become part of my day-to-day routine.I hope you like it as much as I do. Check out her other books too. She really is an amazing author! less
