review 1: As a big fan of Jeyn's Dark Inside and Rage Within novels, I was so excited at the announcement of her new novel, and even more excited when Net Galley approved an ARC for me. The Bodies We Wear was so thrilling and had lots of great unexpected twists, so much so that I read the entire novel in one sitting. Now I only wish the next Dark Inside novel would come out because we need more Jeyn Roberts novels!
review 2: Wow. This is such an interesting book about so many things. About mourning. Rejection. Society's standards and desolation. Security and loss. It's a fascinating look at life and death and wanting. At the afterlife, the supernatural, and the in between. At acceptance and denial, hope and faith, and the cost of it all. It's a story about how all consum... moreing and damaging revenge can be and is. It's a story about deception and seeing what we want to see in times of dishonesty. There's so much to appreciate here. Great book. less
