review 1: This was a free download.I'm a total sucker for rocker romances and this one promised me a rock star and the LA music scene. Sadly, it was light on both. The music scene was definitely more detailed than the rock star aspects, but I wanted more. Corey seemed more like a celebrity, such as a movie star, than a rock star. The premise is cute, but as the plot unraveled I found myself more disbelieving than anything else. It was just too far-fetched for me to buy. Especially the way things were cleaned up in the end. I enjoyed the writing and the author's voice. I fell right into the story. I may try another book by this author, but I'm not sure I'm interested in continuing this series.
review 2: This teen-feeling story was entertaining as a light and amusing short
... more read. First it is not really teen, it is "new adult." That is adults who are about 22 years old and pretty much act like teens. That being said, this novel needs no warning for "mature content." In fact, it really isn't entirely a romance at all! The main character, Emily, is engaging and interesting. Her relationships are not what I expected and I enjoyed seeing a more intelligent and independent female in this genre of novels. Without giving away spoilers, I must stress however that while it has romance, it is NOT a typical romance story and if you expect that you might be disappointed. less

4 STARS This was very original for me. Not your typical rock star romance and I enjoyed every turn.

You've gotta be able to kick em' to the curb! This is an HEA, but one you'll never expect.
