Top 5 Wedding Color Trends for 2018 | Wedding Decor Ideas

Who is ready for 2018? (ME!) As 2017 is coming to an end, I decided to be proactive and help soon-to-be brides by finding out what the top 5 wedding color trends are for 2018. According to wedding planning experts, elegant colors such as dusty rose, mauve, lavender along with lighter shades of blues and grays will really be in style. With that being said, I’ve curated my top 5 favorite wedding color trends for 2018.

There is something so elegant and feminine when you combine the colors rose and gold. Maybe, that’s how the trend “Rose Gold,” really became popular in the recent years. I feel like decorating the wedding with these two colors will really make the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. The color navy is a great complement to dusty rose because it accentuates the groom’s masculinity without having it be overpowering.

If you are planning a spring wedding, I think these colors will be perfect because lavender is such a relaxing color and peach is a hue that will add a little “pop” of color to your wedding. As most of you know, lavender means royalty so it may make you and your soon-to-be husband extra special on your wedding day.

Black and gold is such a timeless color combination. If you are planning on having more of a lavish, black-tie kind of wedding, these colors may be the perfect combination for an elegant, timeless wedding day. Black and gold are bold and beautiful. If you want to feel extra special on your wedding day, ask your attendees to wear a beautiful black attire, and you, the bride, wear an elegant white dress. Just an idea to throw out there.

This is one of my favorite color combinations, especially if you know that you will be having a wedding at a venue with lots of greenery. Sage plays cohesively with dark green and adds depth to your wedding. Of course, the warmer tones such as mauve or even a lighter shade of pink add playful elements to your wedding.

If you are into the cooler tones such as blues and greens, dusty blue is a beautiful hue to use for your wedding. As some of you know, the complementary color of blue is yellow, so why not add a little sparkle to your wedding by incorporating gold? The color yellow itself may be too overpowering for dusty blue, but hints of gold will illuminate and add some compassion to your very special day.
