review 1: Two stars is generous for how much I hated this book. Eleven short story collection of "women and love and complications therin"-should have known by the description on the back that the writing would be choppy. Stories were random. I knew within the first story I wasn't going to enjoy this, but I suffered through a few more before throwing down the book before reading the final two. No recommendation here.
review 2: I'm in such awe of McCorkle's voice. These stories are so warm and funny, though she's dealing with families that are falling to pieces. I loved this book. The characters feel thoroughly real to me, and their view of their own lives makes them utterly endearing. There's no self pity here. The characters see themselves with humor and acceptance. McC

a lot of the story is blurrr for me but when i start reading one book ..its hard to stop..

Some stories were really good and others not so much. Most of them ended kind of randomly.
