review 1: For a good informational comic I read Feynman. It's about a witty biology major professor Richard Feynman, who was a real scientist, lecturing a hall of students (I think college) about science and his life leading up to his career. He talks about his childhood and what got him into science to where he is today. I thought it was a nice comic. It was very vibrantly colored and Feynman seemed like a witty, outspoken man by how he is portrayed in the comic. I personally find science cool so it was up my ally and I recommend it if you're way into science.
review 2: This book started off really well and interesting, but after about page 150 I had a hard time staying with it. I think it may have to do with the feeling that the narrator's voice (Feynman's own) is take
... moren directly from Feynman's talks - it feels too much like a transcript of spoken word, without conveying the color and emphasis that it must have had in real life. It also constituted a lack in an objective, outside voice about Feynman. Yes, it is interesting what he has to say about himself, but I would have liked another perspective, especially on the biographical bits. The authors chose to include Feynman's explanation of Quantum Electrodynamics - and although I know a bit about quantum this went mostly over my head, probably for the same reason I described above: the spoken word cannot be literally taken over in written form without it losing it's coherency, color and poignancy. Since it's a graphic novel, there are ways to compensate for this in imagery, but I feel this was not done enough, and not effectively.I would recommend this book to anyone who is already a Feynman fan, but not to someone with no knowledge about him or his subject. less

Nothing compares to watching/listening to Feynman himself, but the comic format here helped some.
