review 1: I bought this book because I was searching for some easy, appetizer type of foods for my kids when they got home from school.The different ideas for food was interesting. I wouldn't have thought of all these options. I have them, just didn't put them together. It was an eye opening read for me.I would recommend this book for anyone looking for the same thing I was, fresh ideas about small meals.
review 2: I don't know if I can consider the book finished as I have about 30 sticky notes sticking out of it and a grocery list scribbled next to it and I have made exactly ZERO of the recipes so far, but I've enjoyed all the ideas and reading it even if I never make a single lunch out of this book. As other reviewers have pointed out, this book has great photos, and I... more liked his approach of offering a dinner recipe and then re-imagining the dinner into two different lunches. And what I liked most of all was how easy a lot of it sounded. I'm a fledgling cook and I need easy!If some of the recipes turn out tasty, I will upgrade this to a 5-star review. less
