Paranormal Personnel Saga
review 1: I could barely finish reading this book. There were several grammatical mistakes, as if the material had not been edited. The layout of the chapters was choppy. The dialogue was juvenile and repetitive. I liked the storyline of the book, but it was not stitched together smoothly. I found myself cringing... Often. I didn't really like Nathaniel, I thought he was weak, selfish, and an overall ass who was always running off "to get to the bottom of the mystery" but couldn't figure out any problem. I give it a 1 1/2...
review 2: What would you do if you learned all the fairytales were true? That the paranormal walked among us? Julie Taylor learned young that she was different. But growing up with an elf as a father, who works in the paranormal division at the lo
... morecal police, and a mortal mother, who knows nothing of the fantasy creatures all around her, isn't always easy. Add that to having a human best friend and crazy, stalker, dark magic wizard ex boyfriend and Julies live is complicated. She struggles trying to please her rather pretentious elf grandparents, keep all things magical away from her mom, bestie, and all around human population, fighting off the evil ex, and the feelings for the half vampire, whom EVERYONE says just wants her blood. Yes, its a rather complicated life indeed, and with all the chasing down leads to find her cousin, ignoring her dad and seeking the help of Nathaniel, then just to push him away, we sure do hear her inner monologue of tug a war ALOT! I get it, she likes him, but she shouldn't, but she does, but she doesn't want to be, but he's hot, but he just wants her blood, but he's sexy, but he maybe behind the disappearances, but he wants her, but is it just to sleep with her? Ok, so it not that bad, but at times it seemed this way. I honestly just wanted to shake her at times. That being said I enjoyed this book. I thought that story was unique and offered a twist that I liked. The author did well with integrating the secondary characters, her dad is a main part of this story and I like how he interacted with Nathaniel, it was believable. For Julie's flaws, she was relatable and true, you want for her to find her confidence and solve the mystery. Nathaniel is a smexy vamp, that's really all that needs to said about him! He wants Julie and will stop at nothing to prove he can be a man worthy of her affection. So when the unimaginable happens can Julie trust her blossoming feeling? Or will they be sucked dry before they really get to start? Sexy romance mixed with some pixie dust and this paranormal will have you wanting more.3.75 StarsI received this book in exchange for ah honest review. less
