review 1: I can't say that I enjoyed this novel as much as I wanted to. A is A'ida and X is Xavier. Xavier is in prison and his lover, A'ida is dedicated to keep their love alive.As I continued to read, I couldn't help but feel that A'ida's feelings are unfounded. She writes these long, passionate letters to Xavier, but the author doesn't allow the audience even a little bit of a response. What he does choose to do, however, is have Xavier write random little notes on the back of her letters. There's not even any chronological order to what he writes! She bares her heart to keep him updated of what is happening and he seems to just read them with emotion. An unfortunate disappointment.
