review 1: I liked this book. I read a review that called it half a book because it ends in a cliffhanger. I prefer to think of it like the first comic book movie -- it has to ride that fine line between setting up the story for the uninitiated and being an interesting story for the more advanced viewer, or reader in this case. The characters are interesting and compelling (some of them revolting) and I'm eager to follow them on their journey.
review 2: I did enjoy this book although I don't much like zombies. As with most apocalyptic books, it's really about the human spirit rather than whatever monsters they have to contend with. And what is the point of zombies' existence? What happens when there is no food supply left? Do they simply run out of energy and really 'di
... moree'? Or maybe just wander aimlessly forever. I wish someone would write about this less

As Zombies books go this is one of the best I have read so far. Got to love the Zombies.

Very good, but ends abruptly-obviously priming for the sequel.

Too many characters. Too many scenarios. Not my cup of tea.
