review 1: This Thomas Roth reminds me of myself; shy, introvert, having a chronic promptness, alone... Ops another 'curcol' XDDShort story of that shy Thomas Roth (Tommy), trying to cure his shyness. With a little help from a charming-but-mysterious coffeshop clerk, Tommy meets Nathan, the total opposites of him. This is sweet story with a bit of supranatural atmosphere with unique character.
review 2: In this new series combining two of my favorite authors (Josh Lanyon and Jordan Castillo Price), I can see so many wonderfully delicious bites of decadence coming from both of them. This first story of the series, Jordan's "Hue, Tint and Shade" is quite possibly my favorite of the five. Though all are amazing with wonderful characters, fantastic writing and dialogue both re
... moreal and witty, HTaS has another appeal the other stories lacked in some small way. Maybe it's because this is the first story, and Jordan's intent was to introduce the reader to Chance a little more, to lay the groundwork of the magic of the shop. Maybe it's because I fell in love with the characters in this story a little bit more than the other stories. Whatever the reason, you cannot go wrong with this tasty read.We first meet Tommy, shy and timid, as he enters Sweets to the Sweet and are indirectly introduced to Chance, the shop's owner. Tommy can barely state his name let alone his needs or desires, and has the inkling Chance is laughing at him. The urge to help Tommy comes over Chance and he's compelled to refer him to a professional. The catalyst is in motion, but before the coin spins its last, we meet Nathan.Nathan is everything Tommy is not - outgoing and outrageous, with a devil-may-care attitude that walks just on the edge of breaking laws (definitely rules). But there's no looking back once the two connect. Look for auras of supernatural elements in this story - but not sunflower yellow!Sweets to the Sweet is that chocolate shop I doubt you'll ever find in the mall and its owner is one you'll never forget, even if you never see him again. less

This was really sweet and I'm pleased Tommy came out of his shell with Nathan.
