review 1: A really nice short story which takes place between Body and Soul and Secrets. Jacob and Vic are supposed to go to a New Year's Eve party together, but Vic is called to report in for duty and Jacob goes to the party on his own. Later that night, when he is already slept in bed, Vic drops to wish him a Happy New Year. What I like in this story is that it is told from Jacob's point of view. It is good to see Vic through Jacob's eyes. We also learn about his discomort at being at Vic's. It is not a place where he feels at home. But I guess being with Vic makes it worth it.
review 2: We get to know Jacob! Like me he feels a little bit lost without Vic.I like seeing Vic through someone else's eyes: deliciously tall, cute, impossible blue eyes. I don't think I have e... morever noticed the cleft in his chin.This is a short story, but for those who love Vic and Jacob it is like a gift. We also have a glimpse of something which has happened to a friend of Jacob's at his precinct and that might have affected him.I hope we get something more from Jacob in the future. less
