review 1: I did enjoy this book and I loved getting to know all the characters. I loved growing up with Adam going a long with his journey after the abuse, him gaining new friends, him gaining a new family and then finding his love. He never forgotten about his mother and everything they did together but I'm happy that he finally moved on from what Edward had done. I also liked Anne's story. The way it took her 10 years to finally open up about what Edward has done to her. I do have one complaint though. The writer had left a cliff hanger with her. And it's been killing me! The last I have heard of her was when she was dancing with one of her workers. She was asking herself if she was ready to trust a man again. But sadly that's when it ended for her. I even fear that her and Sally ... morewasn't friends anymore because when the writer was trying to connect the characters together, but she left Anne out which makes me think that her and Sally are not friends and if not why? The writer has left a gap in this book which has effected the whole story.
review 2: A young boy finds himself alone in the world after his mother is beaten savagely. His only friend is the school bus driver who looks out for him and becomes his trusted ally. But due to his age Adam has to go into care and none of the foster families take to him until he meets Jim and Liz. It seems like everything is going to come together ... But they have forgotten how jealously can make children react!!!!! less
