review 1: I read this book a long time ago, but it seemed due for a re-read when it popped up in this week's category. It's a sweet and fun Christmas story about a down-on-his-luck book hunter and a professor who has a lost Dickens manuscript. Through many misunderstandings, they find themselves falling in love despite themselves. James stole my heart from the start, and Sedge crept in when I wasn't looking.
review 2: I was feeling a bit seasonal these days. Looking for a Christmas tale, I chose Josh Lanyon because it has never deceived me… And The Dickens with Love is not an exception. ... more little too fast, but this is a Christmas story, which must unavoidably contain some kind of miracle, and I go along happily with this hasty falling in love as the required miracle. I love their story, though the way it ends left me wanting to know more… Thanks God I found a Christmas coda he wrote last year which gives you a little more information of what happened afterwards… and gives a clear view of their HEA.
