Missing Pieces Mystery

review 1: Enjoyed this installment in the series, though having the ghost helping solve the mystery was a little bit out there. Also, Trudy is referred to as a best friend of Dae's, but she doesn't seem like a bestie, really. Although these things struck me as a bit odd in this book, I did enjoy the historical aspects of the story, as well as the storylines about the father and the hurricane aftermath. The cliffhanger at the end has me wanting to read the next one!
review 2: Humorous and entertaining, this series delights me far more than the authors' Renaissance Faire Mystery series. The main character and setting are well-developed and intriguing, and I have a sense of Dae as a woman, as a mayor, and as a rooted inhabitant of this interesting slice of the North Carolin... morea Outer Banks' town of Duck. The cast of supporting characters are delightful and possess a nice depth. The "scurvy blackguard" pirate ghost tickled my fancy, and my funnybone, and his story was well-told. An excellent third book! less
