review 1: I still think these books have too much drama and what not but they are getting better. There's less crying (Thank God) and less angst. The characters actually try to act as adults instead of teenagers. The writing still leaves a lot to be desired though. The formatting is less than ideal and there are a lot of grammatical errors too. It also seems like the author introduces drama to shift the readers attention from that. It makes for an interesting plot but the execution is very poor. Trying to cram such a plot in a 90 page novel is kind of crazy and it's noticeable. It feels cramped and undeveloped.
review 2: The WORST book I've read so far this year. Short version (besides the horrifically bad copyediting): In one of the first scenes, the demon dude is finge... morering the vamp dude in the ass (without lube, of course). The vamp dude tells him that he's a virgin, but not really a virgin because he was raped the day before. ALL WHILE DEMON DUDES FINGER IS IN HIS ASS. Then Demon dude decides that he's going to get some lube for Vamp dude because, if it's really his first time he can make it a little good for him.WTFI finished it, if only because it kept getting worse and worse. I'm not kidding. By the end I was laughing so hard about the ridiculousness of the plot.This author is forever on my DO NOT BUY list. less
