review 1: I'm giving this 3 stars bc it was a pretty good read. However, I really don't like being deceived as to the content of the book. It is really a book about a MMMM situation NOT The MM situation that the blurb alludes to. That's really not cool in my book. some ppl don't care for reading abt poly relationships. So I looked at the blurbs for the 2nd and 3rd books in this series and they all refer to MM content but I don't trust that now And will likely not be purchasing them. The story itself was good. Fairly predictable once it got going but still entertaining. It was difficult to read about a world where shifters are slaves and have no rights whatsoever. As someone who is half black this story brings up certain feelings. Overall the book was nice. But the lack of... more upfrontness was annoying.
review 2: Can you imagine the world you know, turning on it's ear, making you a sex slave? Your freedom taken away and having to screw anyone that wants to screw you? I felt so bad for Joss. To be a sex slave is one thing, being raised to be one is a whole different ball of wax. Thank the Gods above that Dencil found him. After Dencil buys Joss, your heart starts to calm thinking Joss is finally going to get his Cinderella moment. Then it shatters for him. Joss is so brave and strong. Not only surviving what he goes through, but then overcoming it enough to save his new family. I cannot wait for the next SeXlection book is released! Four Hearts! less
