review 1: I really worried that this book would keep me up nights... and it did. Just not in the way I imagined. I honestly thought this would be scary and I'd have to sleep with a night light. Instead, I realized I couldn't put it down and had to KEEP READING! It definitely has some creepy features, but they add so much depth to the story. This is nothing like I expected, and better than I could have imagined. Absolutely fantastic novel that will take you on many twists and turns and keep you wondering what will happen next.
review 2: By a third the way through the book I could tell that this wasn't my style of book. I'm not really into psychological thrillers told from the perspective of a main character that you know from the first chapter or two may be untrustworthy-
... more-because the character can't trust himself. Yet despite being able to tell the book wasn't my cup of tea I pushed through and read the whole thing. It had interesting characters, a compelling premise, and plenty of non-graphic freaky-thriller moments. I think it's one that a lot of people will really enjoy. I'm just not part of the intended audience. less

A slow start, a creepy middle, a predictable ending.
