review 1: Karen Lawrence vs. McAllister Taggert = clash of Titans! Widow Karen is a strong, resilient woman still in mourning. Nevertheless, she is making her way, through kindness and hard work, as a lowly typist for a large company. Mac is the equally strong-willed, and perhaps terminally self-centered playboy head of the company where Karen works. Knowing what she knows of this man, will she ever consider giving him the benefit of the doubt, or will she stand on principle and never give an inch?The writing is fluid and fun, the circumstances endearing and even funny at times. Just Curious is a charming read and worth the eBook price. Well done.I purchased this book online and have given this review freely and without compensation of any kind.
review 2: I have read all... more of Jude Deveraux's books and my favourite will always be "A Knight in Shining Armor". "Just Curious" in a novella and, as such, benefits from being shortened. Although I am obviously a fan of this author, I lament that her books mostly follow the basic romance formula. Just Curious is no different, but its novella length cuts out all the repetitious "will they, won't they". Jude Deveraux is my go-to author when I want something light and don't want to think to much. For that purpose, she is perfect. less
