review 1: After my 11-yo daughter finished this, she hugged it and said, "I HAVE to own this! It was SOOOOO good!" Of course, I had to read it after praise like that. I really enjoy novels in verse--quick to read but often emotionally packed. This one was not too heavy, really just a perfect read for a middle school girl. The adorable kitten on the cover probably helps too! I read this in one sitting.
