review 1: Just read this book tonight with my adopted 7 year old. He absolutely loved it! He had fun looking at all the cute dragonsand asked me which one I liked the best. He asked me why the dragonsweren't happy at first and it started a wonderful bonding time.He stayed up looking at the book for quite awhile. We even talked about how easy it would be to draw the dragons. Don't understand some of the bad reviews. I have read thousands of childrens books with many children and we critique them all the time. This was well written as has expressive illistrations. This will definately go on the favorite list. It's sweet, fun and invites questions.
review 2: The cover looked cute. I'm not sure what my expectations were but the book did not meet them. I finished be
... moreing a bit confused. It's a gentle read for young children, yes. But are the dragons supposed to be symbolic of kids who have tantrums and sometimes just need a hug? Or trying to give a child courage by seeing another calm down angry dragons? I don't know. And while I love hot chocolate, I was a little "huh?" when it was "born." Oh well. I'm sure there is an audience for the book and I'll keep my eyes open to see who they are. It'd be "just OK" 2 stars for my confusion, but I did like the illustrations. less

This one used a lot of different vocabulary, but for a book about dragons was not the most exciting.
