review 1: I picked this book up in the Hong Kong airport because I just wanted to browse an English bookstore and buy a book. I knew it was a sort of chick lit, airport book, and it fulfilled it's mission. Some people reviewed that they didn't like the main character, but it thought it was really interesting to see her neurosis and lack of self confidence laid bare even though she was a very successful person. She's over the top, but that made me feel better about my smaller neurosis! Over all I like the book as what it was and actually I read it faster as I went along because I really wanted to know what happened at the end, and it was really hard for me not to just turn to the end and find out. So from that point of view it held my interest.
review 2: This was a delici
... moreous short read about Hollywood. It dishes and follow the love life of a TV writer. It made me really glad I am out of the dating game - I was not impressed by the lengths the character went to to spy on her ex-boyfriend and potential boy friends. I'm glad email and cyber stalking was not apart of my courtship process. It was delightfully trashy and easy to read. Want something fun? Read this one. less
