review 1: Jake Edwards is back in Crystal Lake after a long absence. He’s home to make amends to his sister-in-law, Raine, and for his brother, Jesse. Emotions running high, Jake must deal with the guilt he feels over his brother’s death, the anger and hurt his absence caused to his family and Raine, and the feelings between him and Raine that have always been there since they were young. The Christmas That He Loved Her brought me to tears several times throughout the book. To be able to evoke that kind of emotion from a reader is, in my opinion, the sign of a fabulous book. It’s definitely one for the keeper shelf.
review 2: The Christmas He Loved Her is a part of the Bad Boys of Crystal Lake series. As a holiday read I think this is one of the best I've ever read... more. I absolutely loved Jake and Raine together, Jake is a man that wanted to get away from his past but the time has come to return home and face his ghosts. Raine is the widow of his dead brother. When he comes back to heal old wounds he runs into Raine again and from the start you can feel the intensity between them. I suppose I have a thing for men with dark pasts because from the get go Jake won me over. Applause for Juliana Stone for writing such a wonderful novel, I can't wait to read more of her Crystal Lake series. less
