review 1: This is the first book I've ever read by this author and WOW!!! I'm a fan! This book starts out sad and I really debated not reading it (I just don't like sad books). However, I decided to continue on (after reading forward to make sure it turned happy) and I really loved it! This is such a sweet story and the author is so good at telling the story, I felt like I was there!! The ending caught me totally off guard and I will get the rest of this series!! Cliffhanger, for sure!! This is a must read and I will be getting more of her books!!
review 2: 4.5 BEAUTIFUL BROKEN STARS!I want to say this review is spoiler free! This book was amazing. I typically try to steer away from heartbreaking, gut wrenching books because they just screw with my emotions but after all
... more the hype I read about this series, I knew I had to give it a go and I am so glad I did. This is the story of loss, love, living, making choices, and learning that no matter what, fate has a plan for us all.Allie has had a hard time. Her father has died of cancer leaving her devastated, the love of her life left her to go to war after giving him her virginity, and her brother left for war only to die in the line of duty. She is having a tough time. Allie has two amazing best friends- Blake and Sophie who are there for her to help her pick up the pieces and try to move on. They are there for her when she is at her lowest point...Blake is in love with Allie. They have always just been friends but he has feelings for her. Blake is there for her when her heart is broken and wants to mend it. And he does... in a way. As the lines of friendship become blurred, Blake and Allie cross the lines of friendship into something more. But as they are building their relationship, Wyatt, the love of her life who vanished, is back and fighting for a chance to be with her again. Who will get Allie's heart in the end? But the real question is can you give your heart to someone when is already belongs to someone else? What will Allie do when her past and present collide? When she is forced to make a decision between two men who mean so much to her, who will she choose?I loved Blake. He was there for Allie when she needed him post and never left her side. He was so sweet, kind, loving, considerate, and so freaking patient. If I am ever in a bad spot, I will need to find myself a Blake to help rescue me. I loved Allie. Allie had been through so much but with her friends by her side she slowly starts to find herself again. And finally Wyatt. I am on the fence about him. I mean what he did was heartbreaking. I look forward to hearing why he did what he did.I recommend this book but be warned, it has a MAJOR cliffhanger and you will need a big box of tissues! less
