review 1: I have a soft spot for people who suffer from mental illness. I've worked with them, and even though I can't completely understand it myself I know the battle they're fighting on a daily basis. This is a story of redemption, of someone fighting that daily battle and the people fighting with her. I liked the fact that the author portraits. The female character with dignity and respect, she made mistakes and most of them she's not proud of but that's what made her a survivor. I also love the male characters, both of them strong without going overboard. Good story!
review 2: okay, I must say, I was not sure about reading this book once I realized it was about the Flyers, seeing as I am a die hard Pens fan, and any hockey fan understands that. But once I started... more reading about Georgia and Ben, I couldn't stop. They intrigued me, and I had to know more about them. So, ignoring the Crosby references, I continued to read, loving every second of the twists and turns, the ups and downs, the amazing love he had for her. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The book is amazingly written, I loved how the characters spoke, and the flip flopping first person chapters. I would recommend this book to anyone. I didn't realize there is a second book, and now I have to read it too. The intensity is what kept me reading this book, then the characters pulled me in. I chuckled when I realized the only other team they talked about were the Pens, lol, it's a healthy rivalry, and I appreciate that. But you won me over with this story, and I cannot wait to read what happens with Ben and Georgia next!! less
