How I learned to live with scratches

I used to live with an intense fear of damaging or scratching any and all of my new gadgets or stuff. Whether it was my brand new phone or those beautiful shiny new Airpods. This is the story of how I learned to live with scratches and scars in my life.

When I finally bought Airpods, I just had to keep them in brand new condition. I was dreading the day when they got their first scratch!!!

And then, just as it always does, that day came. And you never look at that thing the same way again.

Oh no!! It’s so ugly now! I can’t be seen walking around with THIS!!!

And then I discovered this wonderful little tool to completely change my perspective:

I realized, that now that they DO have a scratch on them, they are unique. They are a one of kind product that nobody else on the entire face of the world has .. just me. Even if somebody gets a scratch on the same exact place (very unlikely), they will have done it themselves. So it is their own little scratch.

Now, when I apply this to scratches and even physical or mental scars in my life, I can breather a lot easier. Everything good and everything in my life that has left a scar or scratch on me, has made me who I am. It has made me unique.

Thank you!

Please note: This is not an argument to start destroying things or god-forbid hurting yourself. This is an argument to embrace what life throws at you and understand that it is just that, which has made you the unique person that you are ❤
