review 1: A 51 page bliss and fun and a quick adventure featuring Puck and Ash. And to make things more interesting, this short sidetrack was written in Puck's POV. Puck is alswys fun. His wisecracks crack me up every time. His banter with Ash makes me smile. Reading his POV give us more of an insight into the inner working of Puck. And he's fun. And he has real, deep feelings. He is conflicted but has a moral compass and stays true to that in the end. We love Puck. :) his abiltiy to piss off the biggest players just for fun is brave. But he always has an alterior motive. Whatever he does, there is always a reason behind it. One might not see it straight away, but that's Puck for you. A fun, quick read between the bug books in the series.
review 2: I actually read this n
... moreovella right after the Iron Daughter instead of after the Iron Queen, so I was a bit confused about why Puck and Ash were on their quest, but I still managed to enjoy this one quite a lot. It's a Puck POV story, and his voice is fantastic this time, he's such a fun character! Full of mischief but also extremely loyal and brave. So when he's torn between helping Ash or taking a chance to try and get him as a rival out of the way, he ends up being a good guy cause it also means he's gonna play one of the biggest pranks in history and do it under Titania's very nose!It was very entertaining reading about him, ice-boy and Grimalkin, and the dynamics between them are always a lot of fun. Well deserved 3.5 stars for this novella, one that is a must for any Puck fan. less

Summer’s Crossing is the first book we get to read from Puck’s perspective. And I LOVED it! It was a breath of fresh air after all the brooding and whining from Meghan and Ash. I’ve never been Team Ash or Team Puck because I’ve never really connected to either character in the previous books, but after finishing this, I think I’m officially Team Puck. He’s funny and smart and sensitive without being a total cry baby. I honestly don’t understand how Meghan can’t see how great he is. Ah well. I would love it if in the next book, I could read more from his point of view because he’s really the only interesting character in this series. Apart from Grimalkin of course (I would love to get inside that cat’s head!)

Weeeell, it has it's moments, but in the end I found it lacking. Sure, it'a a short novella to bridge book 3 to book 4 and I'm almost certain it does just that, but you can do completely without.Maybe it's because I don't like how Puck is depicted in this series. Here, he's finally the trickster he's supposed to be, but his inner dialogue and reasoning are still too "smitten-teenager" for my taste. Then again, as I said, it has it's moments and is so short you're not really wasting your time by reading it.
