review 1: I feel it's kind of hard to review three completely different stories all in one on a rating. Going in the order they appear in the book, I absolutely loved Dawn of Eden! I as so captivated from the very beginning of the novella and felt so connected to the characters. I started to reread this one once I finished the book. I am so excited to read the Immortal rules. Thistle and Throne, I really liked this novella, but I went in having very high hopes. I got this book because I love Ann Aguirre's Razorland Trilogy which is one of my favorite trilogy's, and I expected this to be my favorite of the three. I did really like this novella, but not as much as Razorland or Dawn Of Eden. The last, Sun Storm, I did enjoy too though a bit less then the other two. The beginning starts... more out slow then towards the end I got really into it. Over all I really enjoyed this book and would highly suggest to anyone who is into Apocalypatic books.
review 2: I thought this whole thing was novellas taking place before the Immortal Rules. I wasn't paying attention clearly. I only read the Julie Kagawa story because I just really wasn't that interested in the others. I might give them a try later. But even the first one was just kinda bleh to me. I mean I love the Immortal Rules world. But that just felt boring. And it reminded me a lot of the second season of the Walking Dead with the family farm and I didn't care for that either. So I got bored. Whatever, it was an ok read, definitely a lot racier than Julie's other works thus far. less
