review 1: I enjoyed this book mostly. It was well written, if a bit over long and emotionally manipulative. It was a quick, depressing read. I was equally interested in the two story lines, but the link between them was tenuous at best. I thought there may have been more to tie the two families together. I waited for that reveal but it never came. Still an enjoyable read. Lots to consider and think about for book clubs.
review 2: I expected this to be a heart wrenching book, and it did not disappoint. This story follows five days in the lives of two people: Mara, who is suffering from Huntington's Disease and is about to end her own life, and Scott, who only has 5 days left with a foster child that has captured his heart. Mara and Scott are connected through an intern... moreet support site, and they have been a comfort to each other when it appeared that no one else knew what words to say. Grab your tissues if you would enjoy a book that puts lots of life's little issues into a whole new perspective. less
